June Challenge

Our June Biking Viking challenge has been rethought, reimagined, and RENEWED to help you become the 7 B’s of mountain biking AWESOMENESS!

Bigger – More challenging by choice!

Better – Become a better version of yourself! Part of becoming a better version of yourself is knowing that you’re not trying to become better than someone else, just a better you. Remember: the mountain looks past the bike, the jersey and everything else…the mountain looks at the heart!

Braver – Pushing yourself physically inevitably pushes you mentally which increases personal courage and overall confidence.

Buffer – Viking STRONG! By diversifying in activity, your body will become stronger by learning to move, act, and react in different ways.

Bolder – Do something different! Unplug and go and do! Get out into nature! Unleash your inner Viking and be active!

Boundless – No limits! Your body is more capable than you think, unleash your potential through positive talk and positive vibes. Open your mind and body to limitless potential.

Beautiful – Outward appearance? I think not! This is the beauty of personal confidence that will come naturally as you go, do, and become!

Introducing the June “25 Hours of Fun” Conditioning Challenge! The June challenge is geared at helping you build a strong body through a diverse set of fun, engaging, and heart pumping activities. Whether it’s aerobic or anaerobic, the point is to get you out and GOING! A variety of activities is better and more advantageous to your overall health and conditioning than one single exercise over and over again. What does this translate into? If you want to be a better mountain biker…you go swim, you go run, you go lift, you go and do other activities that train your body to move, act, and react in different ways. So GO:

10 Rules to get you GOING

  1. Student riders and adult ride leaders must sign up to participate in the June “25 Hours of Fun” Conditioning Challenge through the Google form by May 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm. https://forms.gle/VckmR5ihW13Q6FfcA  (If you have trouble with the form, email Debbie at dieblume2002@hotmail.com or message me through TeamSnap.)
  2. You must complete a total of 25 hours of vigorous physical activities. Actual moving physical exercise for a total of 25 hours. (This would not include 30 minutes of sitting in the boat and 30 minutes of water skiing equalling 60 min. You actually have to water ski for the full 60 minutes to get a full hour filled in on your tracking sheet.)
  3. You must complete a VARIETY of activities. You can not turn in a tracking sheet with only one or two activities listed. Remember – diversify. And each activity must get your heart rate up 😉
  4. You CAN count 1.5 hours for every mountain bike practice that you attend and complete in June.
  5. Only hours completed in June can count towards the June 25 hours.
  6. If you’re not sure if an activity counts for the challenge, reach out to a Coach or Debbie on TeamSnap.
  7. All 25 hours must be completed and the “25 Hours of Fun” tracking sheet submitted to Debbie by June 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm. There are 3 ways you can submit the tracking sheet:
  8. For student riders – the tracking sheet must be signed by a parent or guardian to be accepted as complete and valid.
  9. You must be honest about doing and tracking your activities because you understand that integrity is vital to your current and future success.
  10. NICA’s first core value = HAVE FUN!

Finishers will receive a T-shirt and be entered into a prize drawing held in July. You must be present for the drawing, but all finishers will get the T-shirt.
